Ben’s Mom Marianne told Cori Caulfield that Artistic Director Helgi Tomasson announced the promotion in company class after Ben’s fantastic notices as the Sea Witch in the company’s production of choreographer John Neumeier’s “The Little Mermaid”.
Ben was promoted to Soloist in June 2018, and less than one year later he becomes the youngest Principal Dancer in this world renown company. The New York Times says, “Though from a wide variety of backgrounds, the dancers share the same virtues of intensely elegant clarity, high refinement, and fervent commitment.”
This describes Ben perfectly, he dances with every part of himself including every bit of his huge heart.
Congratulations Ben!!!
