“Tap sensation” (The Georgia Straight) Hailley Caulfield Postle, is the head of the Caulfield School of Dance Tap Department and teaches several disciplines at all levels.
Hailley studied all the disciplines offered by Caulfield School of Dance in depth, officially beginning lessons from her big sister Cori when she was three. In addition to her Caulfield School of Dance training, Hailley was also accepted to train at the prestigious Vancouver Ballet Society Spring Seminars, and other intensives in BC, and Alberta. Hailley has also trained in England, Italy, Holland, and France. And since graduating from Caulfield School of Dance, Hailley has done professional training with the Goh Ballet Academy and Lamondance.
As an amateur solo competitor, Hailley was awarded first placements at Coquitlam District Music Festival and Surrey Festival dance competitions in Ballet (including Set Solo), Jazz, Lyrical Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Song and Dance, Stage, Tap, and Music Interpretation. Hailley also won many other awards, scholarships, and honours including, at the L.A. Dance Force finals in California, the Highest Score of all Solo, Duo, and Trio Under 15 Years competitors, with her jazz solo “Scream” when she was just 11. She was chosen as a BC Festival of the Arts Provincial delegate three times and runner up twice. She has three Provincial titles, two for Tap, Jazz, and Stage Dance and one for Modern/ Contemporary.
After fifteen years of training in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, musical theatre, and acting at Caulfield School of Dance, Hailley immediately got work as a performer and instructor. Hailley has worked as a dancer for the world’s largest cruise line on their largest ship, touring Mexico and the Caribbean; Ruckus Dance; Lamondance; and MOVE: the company; and in feature films such as Code Name: The Cleaner starring Cedric the Entertainer, Lucy Liu, Nicollette Sheridan; and Sucker Punch starring Carla Gugino, Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, and Jena Malon; and the VH1 film Totally Awesome starring Chris Kattan. Hailley has acted in commercials and been featured in music videos including Michael Buble’s chart topping “Just Haven’t Met You Yet”, Suzie McNeil’s “Drama Queen” and These Kids Wear Crowns’ “Jumpstart”.
Hailley was a Principle Tap Dancer in the tap section of the 2010 Olympic Opening Ceremonies. Also in 2010, Hailley was invited to Brazil to be a performer, teacher and Judge at the XX Seminario Internacional De Danca De Brasilia. In 2011, she went to Germany to perform with Lamondance in the Tanz Art Festival at the Nordhausen Theatre. Hailley has danced also for her sister Cori Caulfield’s Coriograph Theatre in works shown in Dancing On the Edge International Festival of Contemporary Dance, the International Push Festival, Dances for a Small Stage, and others. In 2013, Hailley co-created a tap duo with Brock Jellison, the “Hero Tapper” of the 2010 Olympic Opening Ceremonies, for Dances for a Small Stage. She was also a dancer in the cabaret launch of fellow Caulfield School of Dance graduate Paula Giroday’s webseries The True Heroines.
In fall 2015, Hailley (with her Caulfield School of Dance student Lauren Phillips) worked as a dancer on the Lifetime movie “Centre Stage 3: On Pointe” under Choreographer Monica Proenca and Assistant Choreographer (and fellow Caulfield School of Dance alumna and teacher) Crystal Wills.
Ms. Hailley is accredited with Canfit Pro and has Fitness Instructor Specialist Certification, CPR/AED certification, Fitness Theory and Group Fitness certificates, and is trained in all formats of Barre Fitness™.
