The Higher Grades
Royal Academy of Dance syllabi from Grades VI to VIII have 3 to 6 day per week programs. These are expressive and challenging syllabi with classical, free movement, and character dance components. Pointe work is not required in the Grades VI to VIII examinations and is optional at these levels.
The Grade VIII Award is the culmination of the non-vocational stream of the R.A.D. program.
These programs have Closed performance course options that prepare the students for performing in our annual spring stage production. The course usually also compete.
