With online options and in-studio instruction with new health and safety measures, Caulfield School of Dance is offering:
- Ballet and Contemporary Summer Intensive Weeks for dancers in a Grade III RAD level (or equivalent) up to Advanced;
- Multidiscipline Summer Intensive Weeks for Junior, Intermediate, and Advanced students.
All Intensive weeks feature fantastic guest faculty (please see Announcements on this site and Facebook), and Caulfield School of Dance teachers. Even one full week can produce amazing improvement.
Ballet and Contemporary Summer Intensive weeks give aspiring ballet and contemporary dancers daily technique classes and repertoire work. With careful instruction in ballet, pointe or pointe preparation, and contemporary technique students will also benefit from classes in specialized conditioning instructed by the teachers in their fields of expertise such as Pilates, Progressing Ballet Technique, and others.
Multidiscipline Summer Intensive Weeks provide fun and challenging classes a variety of dance disciplines from Ballet to Hip Hop. It is smart for dancers specializing in any one form of dance including classical ballet, to take advantage of short and intense breadth programs like this.
All Intensive Weeks (Ballet/Contemporary and/or Multidisciplinary) are:
- $280.00 +gst each
- Any 2 Weeks for $540.00 +gst
June 19, 2020 is the deadline for the early registration discount of 5%.
Note for those pursuing Closed programs for the 2020/21 year:
Half Day program option of the Professional Training Division: 3 weeks of Caulfield School of Dance Summer Intensive training is required* (and included in tuition).
Professional Training Division programs without a Half Day thing Option:
2 weeks of Summer Intensive training is required* (and included in tuition).
Performance Training Company and all other Closed courses and programs: 2 to 3 weeks of Caulfield School of Dance Summer Intensive training is highly recommended.
* Sometimes those who do not participate fully in the Intensive weeks find it difficult to keep up in the September Company and Division Workshops. During the Summer Intensive weeks, along with technique training in all our offered disciplines, we develop choreography that often forms a basis for repertoire for the upcoming year’s performing pieces.

Intermediate Grade III – V R.A.D. or equivalent:
Week A only Monday, August 17 to Friday, August 21, 2020– 10:30 am – 2:30 pm
Advanced Intermediate Foundation R.A.D. and up or equivalent:
Week A Monday, August 17 to Friday, August 21, 2020 – 10:30 am – 2:30 pm
Week B Monday, August 24 to Friday, August 28, 2020 – 10:30 am – 2:30 pm
Participating in both weeks is ideal but you can register for either week or both. The last week of the Multidisciplinary Intensive Weeks (information below) is also recommended for the breadth training that ballet and contemporary dancers require today, as are drop-in Technique classes offered from June 30 to August 6, 2020.
2020 Multidiscipline Summer Intensive Weeks

The Multidiscipline Summer Intensive Weeks are for dancers at the following levels:
Junior: Ages 7+ Suggested 1 – 2 years experience
Intermediate: Ages 9+ Suggested 3+ years experience
Advanced: Ages 12+Intermediate or higher R.A.D. Ballet level and/or Advanced Tap
Junior:
Week 2 only Monday, August 31 to Friday, September 4, 2020 – 10:30 am – 2:30 pm
Intermediate and
Advanced:
Week 1 Monday, August 24 to Friday, August 28, 2020 – 10:30 am – 2:30 pm
Week 2 Monday, August 31 to Friday, September 4, 2020 – 10:30 am – 2:30 pm
Participating in both weeks is ideal but you can register for either week or both. A week of Ballet and Contemporary Intensive (information above) is also recommended for the foundational skills that all dancers require, as are drop-in Technique classes offered from June 30 to August 6, 2020.
