Stewart Iguidez – aka Stuey Tellar – is an extraordinarily eclectic freestyle dancer and choreographer. Stewart’s distinctive and creative choreographies are a true fusion of urban movement consisting of b-boying/break dance, popping, house, new jack swing, tutting, isolation, video dance, locking, and stylized hip-hop. His spontaneous nature and witty humour makes his classes fun and engaging. Above all else, Stewart lives and works with integrity, honesty, and kindness.
Stewart started as a b-boy in the mid 90’s before taking interest in hip hop choreography. He has developed his style and skills over the years dancing across North America notably in battles for Rock Da House, Monsters of Hip Hop, and Battle Zone. He has won titles in World of Dance Seattle and Vancouver with his crew The Faculty, as well as Bodyrock San Diego and Artists Emerge Upper Division. Individual credits include work with DJ Tiesto, The Roots, The Dogg Pound, Grandmaster Flash, Mos Def, Black Eyed Peas, Michael Bublé, Naughty By Nature, and Nelly Furtado. Stewart was a finalist in So You Think You Can Dance Canada, and has danced in television and feature films Once Upon A Time, Hellcats, Rags, and Another Cinderella Story. Most recently he has transitioned into the world of acting on Freeform’s The Deep, CBS’s Zoo, and numerous national commercials.
Stewart’s classes are high energy fun. Stewart believes that the most important aspect of teaching is to offer tools to students so they can become more efficient learners, and who have a deeper sensitivity to body awareness and musicality. From this teaching philosophy, he creates a comfortable setting for all levels to learn the latest of urban movement.
