
Kyle Vicente, one of the Guest Instructors for the 2016 Caulfield School of Dance Summer Intensives
Kyle Vicente will be teaching Hip Hop as one of the Guest Instructors for the 2016 Caulfield School of Dance Summer Intensives.
Kyle is a multifaceted performer, choreographer, and director. Growing up in Vancouver, BC Kyle trained in many forms of dance including Hip Hop, Popping, Jazz, Locking, Contemporary, House, and Dancehall.
His resume includes work with artists such as Zapped, Rags, Percy Jackson & The Olympians, and on projects and films including “The Lightning Thief”, “Red Riding Hood”, “Kickin’ It Old School”, “Center Stage 2”, “Fantastic Four 2”, “Another Cinderella Story 2”, “Spectacular, Psych (American Duos)”, “Kyle XY”, and “Eureka”. He has performed at events such as Body Rock, Canadian Hip-Hop Championships, Opening for Fabolous, Jayme Armstrong, and Brock Zanrosso. Kyle has also performed at the annual event “San Francisco Hip Hop Dance Festival” with the America’s Best Dance Crew The Jabbawokeez.
Kyle is a member of O.T.I. (Over The Influence) Crew, the 1st place winners in Artists Emerge 2011-2014 and World Of Dance 2011/2013, as well as 2nd and 3rd place winners at Body Rock, “The Faculty”. He has also trained with The SOULdiers Company, The Source Dance Company and has worked on Celebrity Cruise Lines. Kyle is co-directs the hop/dance training program Culturally Defined with Chris Wong.
Kyle’s ultimate desire is to motivate and inspire others to better themselves in their artistic fields. His ultimate pleasure is to see the passion that people put into their own creative interpretation.
Featuring Guest Faculty and Caulfield School of Dance teachers, the Caulfield School of Dance Summer Intensive weeks are an invaluable experience. Even one full week produces amazing improvement. All students age 9 and up with some experience (minimum 3 years recommended) will benefit immensely from Summer Intensive training. For those pursuing Performance Training Company Programs, or Professional Training Division courses, participation in 2 weeks of Summer Intensive training is highly recommended and the fees are included in 2016-2017 Company and Division program tuition*.

Week 1: Monday, August 22 to Friday, August 26, 2016 – 10:30am – 2:30pm
Week 2: Monday, August 29 to Friday, September 2, 2016 – 10:30am – 2:30pm
Vocational Levels (Intermediate Foundation or higher R.A.D. Ballet level and/or Advanced Tap):
Week 1: Monday, August 22 to Friday, August 26, 2016 – 10:30am – 2:30pm
Week 2: Monday, August 29 to Friday, September 2, 2016 – 10:30am – 2:30pm
All Intensive Weeks are $250 +gst

During the Intensive weeks, along with technique training in all our offered disciplines, we develop choreography that often forms a basis for repertoire for the upcoming year’s Company and Division numbers. Sometimes those who do not participate fully in the Intensive weeks find it difficult to keep up in the September Company and Division Workshops.
Ballet and Jazz Technique Maintenance Drop-In Classes, are also very helpful to the faculty in assessing students for level placement for the 2016-2017 year.
* Should your child be offered but decline membership, neither the $30 Audition fee, $75 Company Workshop fee, nor any tuition for summer training, will be pt towards total September to June tuition. Should your child not be offered membership after attending any of the above, fees for Audition, Workshop (students selected for the Performance Training Company Program and Professional Training Division courses also take the 2016 September Company/Divison Workshop, Tuesday, September 6 to Thursday, September 8, from 6 – 8pm). 50% of tuition paid for up to 2 weeks of summer intensive training will be put towards tuition for regular 2016-2017 group courses if individual total tuition for group courses including all discounts is $4000 or higher. If less, the fees will not be deducted. Only tuition for Summer Intensive weeks at the prescribed level for the student can be deducted from September to June Tuition.
