A few of Caulfield School of Dance’s many numbers awarded 1st placing in competitions so far, will have the exciting honour of competing this Saturday, May 11 at the 2019 No Borders Group Challenge at the Surrey Arts Centre.

“Zoot Suit Riot” received the Highest Score of All Numbers in all Sections of the 2019 Chilliwack Lions Club festival and a full scholarship to No Borders

The No Borders Group Challenge is only open to numbers who have received a 1st placement at a regional completion and have a minimum average cast age of 10 years and up. Some 1st pacing numbers are invited by the Chilliwack and Surrey festivals, and some the School selects to enter. (Please see information on all the CSD numbers entered below.)

Please note that admission to the theatre during the No Borders Group Dance Challenge is $5.00 Cash only* per session (all ages and dancers too), absolutely no exceptions.
* The Surrey Art Centre does not have anATM.
Morning or afternoon session tickets can be used for entry during the surrey festival of Dance Honours Awards and the No Borders finals.
“Zoot Suit Riot” Group Tap Age 15, choreographed by Hailley Caulfield Postle,which received 1st place in its class, trophy over 1 other age group, and the Highest Score of All Numbers in all Sections of the 2019 Chilliwack Lions Club Music and Dance Festival and a full scholarship to the No Borders competition, which was forfeit due to not being available to perform at the Honours Performance. ((This number also received first place in all competitions it has entered and many other special awards.)
“Can’t Take My Mind Off of You” Group Lyrical Age 15, choreographed by Hailley Caulfield Postle, which received 1st place in its class, and a full scholarship from Chilliwack Lions Club Music and Dance Festival to the No Borders competition (which they forfeit due to not being available to perform at the Honours Performance). (This number also received first place in all competitions it has entered and many other special awards including the Overall Championship of the Synergy Duncan Competition.)
“I Might Be Wrong” Group Contemporary, Age 15, choreographed by Hailley Caulfield Postle, which received 1st place in its class in all competitions it has entered.
“Bring it On” Group Song and Dance Age 14, choreographed by Jocelyn Gauthier, received 1st place in its class at Chilliwack Lions Club Music and Dance Festival and an invitation to perform in their Honours performance.
“Point(e) Made” Group Ballet 15 years, with choreography by Jocelyn Wozencroft and
“Under the Moonlight” Group Contemporary Ballet 15 years, with choreography by Cori Caulfield were both awarded 1st place in all regional competitions they have entered and were invited with full scholarship from Surrey Festival of Dance to No Borders.
