Caulfield School of Dance student Nolen Dubuc was awarded the Provincial Champion title in the Mini Dancer category at the 2016 Synergy Provincials. His top scoring solo was a tap piece choreographed and instructed by Caulfield School of Dance Tap Department Head, Hailley Caulfield Postle, who said: “Nolen worked so hard on this solo and it was great to see him get rewarded for all that practice and how much he improved this year”.

Nolen was the Mini Dancer of the Year for the 2016 Synergy Dance Experience, North Vancouver, and competed at the Provincials against the top scoring dancers of all discipline categories from all 2016 Synergy competitions in B.C. to win the honour which came with another $100 cash award.

Then Nolen performed his Musical Theatre group number “Ratatouille Restaurant: Be Our Guest” which was the top scoring Musical Theatre number of the 2016 Synergy Dance Experience, North Vancouver, and then his group Tap number “Home” which was the top scoring Tap number of the 2016 Synergy Dance Experience, North Vancouver. As soon as he got off stage, Nolen headed straight to YVR to board a plane to Europe for vacation with his family. June 24, 2016 was a big day for Nolen who says: “I’m going to practice every day while I’m away”.

Congratulations Nolen!!!
