Even one full week of Summer Intensive training produces amazing improvement. All students age 9 and up with at least 3 years of experience will benefit immensely from concentrated learning.

In consultation with Dr. Lindsay Rite, we will take advantage of our proximity to the ocean and the forest more than ever before with the students who participate in the Summer Intensives. We will focus on the building blocks of great dancing which are bodily strength, coordination and flexibility – and of course, imagination. As much as possible we will use nature to improve and inspire us.

Summer is the best time to engage in performing arts training. Students who are taking September to June courses should never take the whole summer off. Dance and singing skills require constant maintenance. Home practice including conditioning is very important; classes, courses, and programs make it possible for Summer to be the time when the greatest improvements are made rather than the time when skills depreciate.
The Dancer’s Creed:
After 1 day without dance class, I feel it.
After 2 days without dance class, my Partner feels it.
After 3 days without dance class, my Director feels it.
After 4 days without dance class, the Audience feels it.
The Singer’s Creed:
Only 1 day off in 7,
and my voice will soar to heaven.
Should I rest it more,
it will flounder on the floor.
