Kelsey Mann A.R.A.D. R.A.D.R.T..S.
Kelsey has had a passion for ballet since she was a little girl. A former professional ballet dancer, she has now been teaching classical dance for over 15 years, at School of Music and Dance, Studio One Dance Center, Peggy Peat School of Dance, Pulse Dance Centre, Caulfield School of Dance, Judy Russel Enchainment, Dance in Motion, MC Dance Academy, and Project Dance. She will continue sharing her knowledge of ballet in the 2019/2020 dance season at Studio One Dance Center, Project Dance, and Legacy Dance Productions.

Kelsey received her formal training at the Goh Ballet Academy and toured BC, China, and Japan, with the Goh Ballet Youth Company Canada as a soloist in the ballet “Paquita” and works by Wen Wei Wang and Choo Chiat Goh. Kelsey is thankful for the experience of working with other great artists and instructors there including Lynnette Kelley, Yao Ping Zhu, Chan Hon Goh, Lin Mei Fang, and Chen Jiuan Nian.

Following her training, Kelsey danced with Orlando Ballet where she performed many ballets including “The Nutcracker,” “Giselle,” “Cinderella,” “Don Quixote,” “Paquita,” “Stars and Stripes,” “Firebird,” and original works by Fernando Bujones; and had the opportunity to work with Gelsey Kirkland, Peter Stark, and other legendary dance artists.

After her performing career, Kelsey returned home to BC and was inspired to pass her knowledge and love of Ballet through teaching, earning her Royal Academy of Dance teaching certificate, the R.A.D. R.T.S. She has successfully prepared and entered students in Graded and Vocational R.A.D. exams. Her students have been selected as Ballet Representatives to Performing Arts BC “Provincials”. Many of her students have been accepted to prestigious ballet schools and companies. Her choreography has received many awards.

Kelsey loves to be a part of students’ improvement and growth in dance. She hopes her passion, dedication, and love for ballet will inspire her students to strive with dedication to explore their potential in this art form.
