Huge thanks to the Caulfield School of Dance students and alumni who came out to perform, and participate in the flashmob, last Sunday at Port Moody’s Car-Free Day.
CSD alumna Elle Cunnings performed a dance solo and sang an Adele song.
CSD student Chiara Go sang a song from the William Finn, and Rachel Sheinkin musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
CSD alumna Lauren Phillips sang a song from the Stephen Schwartz musical Wicked, and closed the CSD show with Chandelier by Sia

And the flashmob was fun too!
Car-Free Day events encourage motorists to give up their cars for a day giving an idea of their local community with fewer cars. Projects along these lines have taken place from time to time on an ad hoc basis starting with the 1973 oil crisis. Now that we recognize our whole planet is imperilled by the climate crisis, it is important that everyone consider how they can use less fossil fuels and produce less atmospheric carbon.
