Faculty for Caulfield School of Dance Summer Intensives: Jordan Allarie

Jordan Allarie teaches the 2nd week of the Caulfield School of Dance 2020 Multidisciplinary Intensive Weeks

Jordan Allarie will be teaching in the Multidisciplinary Intensive Week 2, at Caulfield School of Dance August 31 to September 4.

This summer, we are returning to the use of our beautiful facility with new health and safety measures that include disinfecting between classes and each student having twice the recommended Distancing space in classes.

Each Multidisciplinary Summer Intensive Week gives young dancers at 3 levels daily classes in key dance disinclines and classes in conditioning. The faculty includes international guest artists. More information on other Summer faculty is posted on this website and our Facebook page.

With over ten years experience in the live event industry, Jordan Allarie brings a unique skill set that combines stage and production management with the artistry and talent of a professional dancer and choreographer.

At the age of three Jordan began his dance training in ballet and tap in Abbotsford BC, Canada. As his passion for the art grew so did his class schedule. He quickly added Jazz and Musical Theatre to his repertoire and later introduced Hip Hop, Modern, Contemporary, African and Latin Ballroom to his list of studied genres. In his early teens Jordan trained with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and became a company member in Vancouver Tap Dance Society’s ‘Tap Co.’, and performed with Caulfield School of Dance Artistic Director Cori Caulfield‘s coriograph theatre. As a competitive dancer in BC he performed at the provincial level in the Junior, Intermediate and Senior levels, representing his home town of Chilliwack.

Jordan launched his professional performance career with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as a featured dancer in their on board productions. After five years at sea, he traded in his sea legs for local work back at home. He began working closely with Vancouver-based production company PRP: Patrick Roberge Productions. He subsequently appeared in hundreds of productions across North America and Asia, the most notable for PRP include; the Guangdong International Tourism Festival in China performing with country music trio The Higgins and the Vancouver 2010 Official Mascot Launch where he brought to life ‘Quatchi’ the Sasquatch in the televised unveiling.

As his experience with PRP gained momentum, Jordan’s roles grew to include Performance Director and Assistant Choreographer for several high-level televised events including the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies, the 99th Grey Cup Halftime Show, Rick Hansen Celebration 25, the 122nd IOC Session, and the 102nd Grey Cup Halftime Show. He has had the pleasure to work with such artists as Nickelback, Marianas Trench, Sarah McLaughlin, Imagine Dragons, and Victoria Duffield.

Over the last decade Jordan has established himself as a prominent instructor in the Fraser Valley and an award-winning choreographer, most noted for his unique and innovative style. He has worked as Choreographer/Director on such productions as CATS, Oliver, Grease, Cabaret, A Chorus Line, All Shook Up, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, In The Heights, Fiddler on the Roof, Mamma Mia and more. He teaches as a faculty member at dance studios in the Lower Mainland and as a guest at workshops across Canada.

Jordan is pleased to be back working with Cori Caulfield now as a guest teacher for Caulfield School of Dance Summer intensives, and we are excited to have his creativity and skill to share with this generation of students!
