Deadline Extended: Call for Dancers – Wearable Arts Shows

Port Moody Arts Centre is now accepting applications from dancers who wish to volunteer to work with choreographer Cori Caulfield in creating and performing the 2015 Wearable Arts Awards show in two performances, February 21 and 22, in Port Moody, BC.

The Wearable Art Awards is a multi-media performance where the human body becomes a living, breathing, moving canvas. Artists submit wearable pieces of art in three categories (complete outfits, bras, and headpieces).Dancers are required to:

Be dress sizes 2-10
Be available for one scheduled fitting
Be available for rehearsals:
5:30pm-9:30pm Wednesday, February 18 and 5:30pm-9:30pm Thursday, February 19
Be available for hair and makeup:
from 5:30pm on Saturday, February 21 and 4:30pm on Sunday, February 22
Be available for performances:
Saturday, February 21 from 5:30pm to 10:30pm and Sunday, February 22 from 4:30pm to 9:30pm
Provide signed release form (Parental release required if under 18 years of age)

*Dancers must be available for all scheduled rehearsals as above and both performances.

Models will be able to purchase the individual and group shots taken of them from the professional photographer contracted for the event.
