Dress Rehearsals and FINALE Rehearsals at Caulfield School Information
Absent from a Dress Rehearsal or FINALE* Rehearsal without prior permission = will not perform in yearend shows.
We will be very tight for space!
- Girls, please use the Girls Changing Room for changing (not the washrooms!).
- Boys, please change in the Boys/Staff Changing Room.
Please keep your belongings neatly out of the way of others – especially doorways and hallways – and store shoes under the benches in the lobby or in cubbies in changing rooms!
Dress Rehearsals:
Note: Numbers in red have Studio Dress Rehearsals during class on days other than May 9 or 30 as per the Schedule.
- Hair: Hair must be performance quality for all performers for all Dress Rehearsals.
- Makeup: All must be in “large venue make-up” so even little ones have full eye makeup.
If you need an exception to the full hair, makeup and/or costume requirement for a Dress Rehearsal, you must email admin@caulfield.bc.ca by Monday, May 4, to confirm that you have your instructor’s permission!
Note: Draft show orders are coming soon for your inspection. Final Show Orders will be posted by May 9, two weeks prior to May 23, Ticket Sales day. Once you know the order of your pieces for each show, please ensure that you practice all costume/makeup and/or hair changes before the shows!
FINALE Rehearsals:
“Finale” is the final number in each show; all performers in that show perform it as their “bow” to the audience.
- ALL PERFORMERS and ALL new parents and any parents who have not previously attended a Finale Rehearsal MUST attend the first 2015 Finale Rehearsal at C.S.D., Saturday, May 9, 12:45 – 1:45pm.
“Parents Required” (vs. “Only Parents Required”) = Performers from these classes will ideally participate; Parents must be at the Finale Rehearsals as listed whether child participating or not.
Costumes (if already in one) or regular dancewear are fine for all Finale Rehearsals. Dance shoes must be worn.
Note: ON STAGE Finale Rehearsals at Terry Fox Theatre are mandatory for EVERY PERFORMER of
EVERY AGE and of EVERY NUMBER called for that rehearsal. Parent orientation for volunteering, including backstage supervision, is given during the On Stage Finale rehearsals.
May 9, 12:45pm – 1:45pm Finale Rehearsal:
ALL PERFORMERS in the yearend shows (except those in classes designated “Only Parents Required”*)
must participate in this rehearsal. NEW FAMILIES must have a PARENT at this rehearsal whether your child/ren are required to participate or not.
* “Only Parents Required” on the Schedule = parents of these classes must be at the 12:45pm rehearsal; performers are welcome(!) but not required to be present. Parents and performers – with a parent or older performing sibling to supervise – are also welcome to the May 30 Finale rehearsal.
May 30, 1:15pm – 1:45pm Finale Rehearsal:
Is for ALL PERFORMERS in classes as indicated on the Schedule to participate.
Again, those not required are welcome with parental (or older performing sibling) supervision only.

SATURDAY, MAY 23, WEDNESDAY, MAY 27, and TUESDAY, JUNE 2, 2015:
As per your Important Dates Sheet, you will receive an email by Tuesday, May 19 if you are required for a special rehearsal on either of these days. Please keep them open. Thank you.
