Miss Cori and “Heart Lines” Lyrical Jazz Group 12 years
Caulfield School of Dance students continued to compete well in the last two weeks of the Chilliwack Festival. We had a duo jazz, and solo jazz, and solo lyrical jazz competitors, as well as lyrical and jazz groups.

Nathalie, Solo Lyrical Jazz 13 year

Holly and Kaia, Solo Jazz 12 years

Tiana with Industry Dance Magazine Performance Trophy
Very special congratulations to Tiana Pazdirek who received “The Industry Dance Magazine Performance Trophy” for a “17 year old jazz soloist who shows undeniable and charismatic stage presence”.

Group Tap 16 years, “Clowns and Jokers”
And then last week was the Tap, Stage, Song and Dance section and we had a duo tap, and solo tap numbers, two tap group numbers, a solo stage number and a group stage number, and two musical theatre groups.

Group Tap 12 years, “Home”

“All That Jazz” (Group Song and Dance 5 to 16 years) and Miss Cori

“Ratatouille Restaurant: Be Our Guest” (Group Song & Dance – 11 to 12 years) and Miss Cori

Jaelan and Tiana, Solo Tap 17 years

Kirsten, Solo Tap 14 years (also earned 3rd for Solo Lyrical Jazz)
This was our first time entering more than just a few solos to compete in the Chilliwack Lions Club Music and Dance Festival and the consensus is that it was an excellent competition we’d love to participate in again (maybe even more fully) next year.
We’d like to give our deep collective thanks to all the wonderful volunteers without whom the festival could not have been the positive experience that it was.
And we thank all our competitors and their families too!
Congratulations to ALL our competitors (Families, please submit your photos – we’d love to post more of your memories) and we hope to see you Sunday at the 2016 Chilliwack Lions Club Music and Dance Festival Honours Performance!
