Andrea Isea
Primary Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Progressing Ballet Technique®
After six years of training at Caulfield School of Dance which included earning entrance to the Royal Academy of Dance, Andrea Isea is now pursuing a B.F.A. Andrea is also fully certified in the revolutionary training method, Progressing Ballet Technique®.
Andrea began dancing when she was 6 years old in Venezuela where she performed in the El Teatro Teresa Carreño production of “The Nutcracker”. After her family’s immigration to Canada in 2011, she immediately started training at Caulfield School of Dance. Andrea completed her Royal Academy of Dance Intermediate Vocational Examination and trained in Tap, Jazz/Lyrical, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, and Contemporary/Modern. She was a member of the Professional Training Division for the last three years of her training at Caulfield School of Dance, and competed in all styles of dance in groups, and in Ballet as a soloist. She was a Teaching Assistant, and then a Teacher Trainee at CSD, before taking on her own courses. As both a student of dance and a student of dance pedagogy, Andrea always distinguished herself with her dedication, perspicacity, and attention to detail.
Andrea has performed in many productions and events including the Goh Ballet’s production of “The Nutcracker”; and under the direction of Mandy Tulloch in the Evergreen Cultural Centre’s “Canada 150: The Show” and others. She has also trained and worked in stage production management with Mandy Tulloch.
It is gratifying to have Andrea continuing in her pursuit of a career in dance instruction after her years of Teacher Training mentorship at Caulfield School of Dance. Miss Andrea’s teaching draws on her love for the art and science of dance and her gift for working with children. She has a patient and clear instructing style that allows her students to understand her expectations while feeling supported to achieve them.
