The Russ Duncan Memorial Scholarship 2017 will again be awarding two scholarships this year:
Senior – $750.00 cash and $250.00 Dance Box gift certificate
Junior – $200.00 cash and $100.00 Dance Box gift certificate
The panel is looking for Passion, Commitment, Dedication and Love of the Art of Dance!
You can drop off your application at either of the Dance Box locations, Coquitlam or Langley, or email: Danceboxscholarship2017@gmail.com
You must include the following information:
- Name
- Age
- Date of Birth
- Phone number
- Years of dance training
- Styles of dance studied.
and answer all the questions.
The Senior (11 years and older) Questions:
- Who’s your inspiration and why?
- How will you use the scholarship money? Be specific.
- When you hit a road block (dance block) what do you do to keep going?
- Describe your style.
- What the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
- What do you like to do on your day off from dance?
- In one sentence – Where will your dance aspirations take you in 5 years?
The Junior (10 years and under) Questions:
- Who’s your inspiration and why?
- What’s do you like most about dancing?
- Describe your favourite dance.
- Who do you like to watch dance?
- What do you like to do when you’re not dancing?
- How would you use the scholarship money?
- Describe your favourite costume.
Be as creative as you wish with your presentation!
Please attach a few (max 4) pictures (please no copywrite pictures).
Have fun, use your creativity, there isn’t a wrong way to do this!!
