Carter’s contemporary solo, “Darkness Also Rises” was choreographed and coached by Cori Caulfield. Hailey’s Classical solo is a variation from “Chopiniana” coached by Cori Caulfield.
Young dancers from Canada, Japan, Australia, and eight U.S. states competed and then had masterclasses with members of the stellar panel of judges, including acclaimed former American Ballet Theatre principal ballerina, Susan Jafffe.

Katherine and Hailey received an average score of over 90% performing their first duo (choreographed by Crystal Wills) at Y.A.G.P.
It was the first International competition for both Katherine and Carter. Hailey competed at the 2016 Y.A.G.P. Seattle Semifinal, but this was her first year performing a duo.
Cori Caulfield said, “It was wonderful to see Katherine, Carter, and Hailey in such strong fields of dancers. And such a thrill for Carter to be in class with 20 young male dancers! The competitors and the classes were inspiring… I loved connecting with dance educators from different parts of Canada, Australia, and the U.S.. It was a fabulous weekend.”
We are very proud of you, Katherine, Carter, and Hailey!!!
