Caulfield School of Dance voice students performing O Canada for Port Moody’s Inaugural Council Meeting
After the piper began the proceedings, Caulfield School of Dance voice students performed O Canada for Port Moody’s Inaugural Council Meeting on Tuesday. And as the Art in Council presentation of this special event, Mena Spasova sang Nothing is Too Wonderful to be True.
The singers were very appreciated and the Mayor made mention of Mena’s accomplishments in voice including her title as the 2018 Runner Up Provincial Champion for Age 14 and Under Voice: Musical Theatre.
The Inlet Theatre was at capacity for the meeting, in which all the newly elected and re-elected council members were sworn in.
Mena Spasova, is prepared for vocal competition by Jocelyn Gauthier, Head of the Voice and Musical Theatre Department at Caulfield School of Dance. While Ms. Jocelyn was away on tour, former CSD Voice and Musical Theatre Department Head, Dr. Gina Oh worked with Mena, and prepared the students who performed the National Anthem for this event.
Thank you to the teachers, all the singers, and their parents for contributing to this important Civic occasion.
