The Dance Box is again offering its Scholarship in memory of its wonderful founder, RUSS DUNCAN.
The Scholarship is a chance for a dancer to further express their passion and pursue their dreams in an art form they love, with a little help from Russ!
In February 2011, we lost a well-known and very loved woman, Russ Duncan. Not only was she an inspiration to most people she met but she was an inspiration to the dance world itself. With her expertise in pointe shoe fittings to knowing anything and everything related to dance, she did it all with class and devotion.
To help keep her memory alive, The Dance Box is awarding a scholarship every year on her birthday April 17th. The scholarship will be worth a total of $1,000.00, $750 in cash to be used towards furthering their dance careers and $250 worth of supplies from Dance Box.
Dancers answer a few short questions in essay form about what dance means to them and how they will use the scholarship to further their dreams.
The winning recipient will be featured on The Dance Box Facebook page and website.
Russ’ daughter, Erin, wants to thank everyone dearly for contributing to this wonderful memorial for her Mom.
