Brandon Lee Alley will be teaching Contemporary Technique and Repertoire in the Multidisciplinary Intensive Week 2, at Caulfield School of Dance August 31 to September 4.

This summer, we are returning to the use of our beautiful facility with new health and safety measures that include disinfecting between classes and each student having twice the recommended Distancing space in classes.

Each Multidisciplinary Summer Intensive Week gives young dancers at 3 levels daily classes in key dance disinclines and classes in conditioning. The faculty includes international guest artists. More information on other Summer faculty is posted on this website and our Facebook page.

We are very exited to have Brandon Lee Alley and Racheal Prince (Ballet BC, Alberta Ballet, Dance//Novella, etc.) teaching several Contemporary/ Contemporary Ballet based classes in Week 2, with former Principal Dancer and R.A.D. examiner Isabel Yuan teaching Classical Ballet Technique.

A North Carolina native, Brandon Lee Alley began his professional career with Hubbard Street 2 and was a member of BODYTRAFFIC in 2014/15 before joining Ballet BC. Currently Brandon is collaborating with Company 605 and Rachel Mayer. In 2013, he choreographed his first work, a duet performed by members of Hubbard Street 2 followed by two new works for the Arts Umbrella Dance Company. Brandon has also honed his skills as a teacher and movement guide while working as an instructor at the Hubbard Street summer intensives, Ballet BC workshops as well teaching for Lamondance and the Richmond Academy of Dance. With Racheal Prince, Brandon is the Co-Founder and Director of Dance//Novella where he is a creative director, choreographer, performer and teacher.

Brandon began his dance training at the Eastern Randolph High School when he was 14 under the direction of Britt Allen. He later attended the Greensboro Ballet’s year-long program on a full scholarship and graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts specializing in contemporary dance in 2012. Brandon attended summer intensives with Ballet Austin, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and LINES Ballet. At age 20 he joined Ballet BC and performed works by many prestigious choreographers such as Crystal Pite, Sharon Eyal, Johan Inger, Jorma Elo, Cayetano Soto, Emily Molnar and Medhi Walerski.

Brandon also enjoys pursuing cross-disciplinary explorations in visual art, poetry and music, which inform and enrich his dancing, choreography and teaching.
