
Nicole Caron, one of the Guest Instructors for the 2017 Caulfield School of Dance Summer Intensives
Nicole Caron will be teaching Ballet Technique, Repertoire, and Yoga for Week C (August 21 to 25) of the 2017 Caulfield School of Dance Ballet and Contemporary Summer Intensives. She will also instruct Ballet Technique for week 1 of the Multidisciplinary Intensive weeks.
Nicole Caron is in her fifteenth season with Alberta Ballet. She was born in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and grew up in Vancouver, B.C. She received her ballet training at the Richmond Academy of Dance, as well as Canada’s National Ballet School, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, the American Ballet Theatre, and is an alumna of The Banff Centre’s Festival Dance.
Some of Nicole’s favourite roles include the title role in Carmen, Desdemona in Othello, Helena in A Midsummer’s Night Dream, the principal dancer in Balanchine’s Rubies, Serenade, Allegro Brillante, and Who Cares?, the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Kitri in Don Quixote, Stomper in In The Upper Room and She in Balletlujah!. Nicole also enjoys teaching and adjudicating across Canada.
Featuring Guest Faculty and Caulfield School of Dance teachers, the Caulfield School of Dance Summer Intensive weeks are an invaluable experience. Even one full week produces amazing improvement. The Ballet and Contemporary Intensive Weeks are August 7 to 25; the Multidiscipline Weeks are August 21 to September 1. For those pursuing Performance Training Company Programs, or Professional Training Division courses clouding Half Day training, participation in 2 weeks of Summer Intensive training is especially recommended and up to 2 weeks of Summer Intensive Tuition fees are included in 2017-2018 Company and Division program tuition for returning students at the Special Fee Ceiling.
