May 10 & 11: CSD Placement Audition

The Placement Audition for Caulfield School of Dance 2019-2020 Closed Courses and Programs is open to all aspiring performers, ages 6 to 18.

Date and Time:

Ages 6 to  12:   Saturday May 11, 12:30 – 2:00 pm 

Ages 13+:  Friday May 10, 7:00 – 8:30 pm 

Note that the audition is separated by AGE and NOT SKILL level. All who audition will be considered for all programs by attending the audition for the correct age group.

Audition Fee:
$35.00 (+gst = $36.75 )

The Audition fee can be paid (cash only) upon arrival for the audition but pre-registration is required.

The Audition fee can be applied to 2019-2020 Caulfield School of Dance tuition for programs at or above special program fee ceilings.

Registration:

Current CSD students can be registered via the Parent Portal under “Events”; or see us at reception during office hours.

New students can register online under “Events”.

All participants must fill out the Audition Form to be submitted by the start of the audition.
Forms should be filled out by a Parent, in consultation with your child.

No resume or photo necessary.

All who audition will be sent a custom designed Program for the 2019/20 year by June 30, 2019, whether seeking Closed program placement or not.For more information on the Audition (what to bring, what to expect, etc.) please see the Audition page of this website.Auditioning is an important part of performing arts training. Students not pursuing enrolment in CSD Closed/Invitational Programs are welcome and encouraged to do the placement Audition for the experience. We do request however that if you are not pursuing enrolment in Closed/Invitational Programs for the immediate upcoming year, that you please inform us prior to auditioning by indicating so on the Audition Form.This audition is required for those seeking consideration for all Closed Programs (including Closed Courses, Performance Training Company, Professional Training Division with or without a Half Day Training Option*), etc..If you have any questions, please let us know!

* This year we  offering a Commercial dance (e.g. Jazz/Lyrical, Tap, Street Dance, Musical Theatre, etc.) focused Half Day Training Option for dancers 13+.
