Chiara Go live on “Paul Anthony’s Talent Time”
Caulfield School of Dance students Nolen Dubuc and Chiara Go, both age 8 at the time of recording, were guests on season 9 of “Paul Anthony’s Talent Time” a show that the Vancouver Sun hailed as a “phenomenon”. Critic Matthew Hays (Globe & Mail/CBC Arts Online) says the live comedy/variety/talk show and Public Access TV program, “is the most innovative, raucus, totally silly and inspired show I have seen in years. Watching it is like freebasing sheer fun!”
The show pays homage to the classic variety format, with a focus on local personalities and novelty entertainment. The country’s best stand-up comedians, psychics, martial artists, animal acts, barbershop quartets, and Randy Quaid have all shared the same stage at Vancouver’s Rio Theatre.

Nolen Dubuc doing a backflip during his tap solo on the “Talent Time” stage
Nolen is the first guest after the opening monologue.
Invited to perform his award winning tap solo “Sing” choreographed by Hailley Caulfield Postle, Nolen was also asked to perform a second number and chose his lyrical solo “Mad World” also choreographed by Hailley Caulfield Postle. He opened the show with his lyrical solo, after which he was interviewed by Paul Anthony. And Nolen closed the show with “Sing”. Nolen ‘s Mom Kristen said it was, “honestly such an amazing experience for him.”
For television, music rights are prohibitive so only a bit of Nolen’s lyrical solo was broadcast with alternate music. As Chiara sang, and Nolen’s last solo was tap, overlaying different music was not an option so Chiara’s appearance and Nolen’s last solo were not broadcast at all.
Paul Anthony said of Chiara’s performance: ” I hope she had a good time performing. She was adorable!!!!!!”
