Three of our Professional Training Division Dancers competed in Provincial Dance sections of the Pacific West Arts Performing Festival.

Lorena Morissette, Pacific West Performing Arts Festival Senior Ballet Provincial Representative Alternate
Special congratulations to Lorena Morissette, age 16, who has been selected by the Pacific West Performing Arts Festival (PacWest) as their Senior (ages 16 to 20 years) Ballet Provincial Representative Alternate. Lorena competed with her Ballet Variation, prepared by Cori Caulfield; her Demi-Character Ballet Solo, choreographed by Cori Caulfield; and her Interpretive Solo choreographed by Amber Funk Barton.

Mia Reitenbach competed in the Provincial Stage Category and placed 1st in all of her three solos, Jazz, Lyrical, and Stage, Age 13, all choreographed by Hailley Caulfield Postle. Mia was previously selected as the Chilliwack Lions Club Music and Dance Festival (CLCMDF) Intermediate age (13 to 15 years) Jazz & Stage Dance Provincial Representative and will compete this June in the Performing Arts BC Provincial Festival.

Kaia Goddard competed with two solos in the Provincial Modern Category and placed 3rd for her Solo Modern Age 16, choreographed by Cori Caulfield; and 3rd for her Solo Contemporary Age 16, choreographed by Hailley Caulfield Postle. Kaia was previously selected as the CLCMDF Senior age (16 to 20 years) Modern and Contemporary Dance Provincial Representative and will compete this June at the Performing Arts BC Provincial Festival in Cranbrook.
Performing Arts Festivals from all over BC, which meet strict criteria, can select Representatives at allowable age levels in specified disciplines to compete in the annual Provincial Festival of Performing Arts BC, affectionately known as “The Provincials”.
We are very proud of these three students, selected as 2020 Provincial representatives of our region.
