Congratulations to all the performers in the “See the Music” shows over the weekend at Terry Fox Theatre!
All five shows from Friday, June 9 at 7pm, to Sunday, June 11 at 7pm, were different in content, but all shared the magic of children and young people joyfully expressing themselves and their talents on the stage.
What a thrill it was to see the Caulfield School of Dance community coming together to support each other! With volunteers as young as 9 years old working backstage, there were countless moments of loving helpfulness and cooperation to create something truly special that no one person could create alone.
From 3 year old dancers stepping onto a stage for the first time in their lives, to alumnus Ben Freemantle (San Francisco Ballet company) performing a solo on Sunday night, each show was an inspiring experience for the performers; the many hands who worked busily behind the scenes; and the audiences who came to be supportive and left feeling uplifted and hopeful.
