Twenty-four elite dancers will form Team Canada West Show Dance Team. Show Dance is a combination of a high caliber of jazz choreographed in a production format that tells a story through dance, music and costumes. Acrobatics or gymnastics is an asset but not necessary.
The World Show Dance Championships is being held in Germany November 21 – November 26 , 2016.

The World Championships is hosted by the International Dance Organization. Four of our tappers competed for Team Canada Tap at the 2015 World Championships (and they had a great experience!).
The International Dance Organization (IDO), is a World Dance and Dancesport Federation with a membership of over 90 nations, representing more than 250,000 dancers, from six continents. The World Dance Championships is often referred to as the Olympics of Dance. Dancers from all over the World come to vie for World Dance Titles. The top three medalist are awarded on the podium with their gold, silver, or bronze medal as the National Anthem of the World Champion is played and the flags are raised for the medalist.
Ms. Danielle Gardner will be one of the Team Canada West Show Dance choreographers this year.
Pre-registered with the audition form and an F.Y.I. will be sent to you. You do not have to prepare anything as the audition is very similar to a Dance Workshop. You only have to attend one audition.
