Olivia, Julia and Victoria after their lyrical solos at Surrey Festival of Dance
With Surrey Festival of Dance conflicting with multiple other events such as the Youth American Grand Prix Finals in New York, and the Synergy Burnaby competition, we entered no groups in the Contemporary or Jazz sections of this Festival this year. Some Caulfield School of Dance students did enter solos and duos though. Many of our performers were going back and forth between competitions during this time and still performed beautifully!
Aaliyah Fiorda and Kaia Neal placed 2nd for their Lyrical Jazz Duo Age 14; and Conrad Cahoon and Shanna Lilley placed 2nd for their Lyrical Jazz Duo, Age 16, both choreographed by Hailley Caulfield Postle.
Kaia Goddard and Carter Hayes placed 3rd for their Contemporary Duo, Age 15, choreographed by Cori Caulfield.
Kaia Neal placed 3rd for her Lyrical Jazz Solo, Age 14, choreographed by Hailley Caulfield Postle; Kaia Goddard placed 3rd for her Lyrical Jazz Solo Age 15, choreographed by Katherine Cahoon with Hailley Caulfield Postle; and Carter Hayes placed 1st and received the trophy over multiple categories for his Lyrical Jazz Solo Age 15, choreographed by Hailley Caulfield Postle.
Lincoln Russo placed 1st and received a trophy over multiple categories for his Jazz Solo, Age 7; Victoria Russo placed 3rd for her Jazz Solo, Age 9; and Mia Reitenbach placed 2nd for her Jazz Solo Age 12; all choreographed by Hailley Caulfield Postle.
And to finish off, for her first ever competition, Harwood Burnett, age 5, placed 2nd for her Solo Lyrical Jazz, Age Under 7 years(!); and Olivia Jayetileke placed 2nd for her Lyrical Solo, Age 8; both solos choreographed by Hailley Caulfield Postle.
Congratulations Dancers!
