Congratulations to Kaia Goddard who was selected as a VIP at JUMP Vancouver. Kaia was one of 20 dancers out of 150+ participants to receive this recognition. With this, Kaia earns a scholarship and invitation to attend the The Dance Awards as well as a scholarship to DancerPallooza this summer.

Caulfield School of Dance student Kaia Goddard awarded “VIP” at Jump Vancouver 2018
JUMP is the largest dance convention in the world, touring to 26 US cities and 4 international cities. A typical convention weekend lasts from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon and includes workshops in numerous styles of dance: Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Jazz-Funk, Musical Theater, Lyrical and Ballroom.
At the convention Kaia put in over 15 hours of dancing across all disciplines, and competed with her contemporary solo (choreographed by Hailley Caulfield Postle). She spent time with dancers from other local studios and enjoyed a sense of camaraderie and positive vibes.
Kaia said, “the instructors [a few whom were winners of So You Think You Can Dance] were fantastic, the combos hard and interesting, and it was a very positive and motivating environment.”
Kaia’s Mom Tannis noted that the convention was truly multi-disciplinary with students performing in all genres and attending from some of the very best ballet schools in the States as well.
Congratulation Kaia!
